Pride or Greed?

Bismillah

What is the fundamental flaw in human nature? Pride or greed?

Can I say both? ’cause pride divides and greed results to scarcity… Hehe…

Pride always lead to the habit of “I’m right, you’re wrong”… In excess, it made us hard to get along with others… Especially with those who don’t share common grounds with us… And those who are physically ‘different’…

Greed makes us take more than we actually need and bite more than we are able to chew… It takes so many into so few hands… It leaves other hands to scrape and work to survive… It leaves some hands to reach for the sky to beg for food… It divides us to ‘the rich’ and ‘the poor’… Hehe… Some might argue on the position of the ‘middle class’… Ngahahaha…

But who are the one who is rich, exactly? Is it those who live luxuriously but never felt that they had enough? Or is it those who had just enough, but had their hearts content and happy?

Such dreadful humanity… But let me quote this one more time…

It is true that we are weak and sick and ugly and quarrelsome but if that is all we ever were, we would millenniums ago have disappeared from the face of the earth.

For me millenniums here doesn’t necessarily mean thousands of years… It just means a very long time… Some might realize why must I clarify this…
