Snakey Andy Laddery

Bismillah
Have you ever played snake and ladder? Where you’ve got to go down if you’re ‘eaten’ by a snake… On the other hand, if you reach a ladder you can climb it up and may reach the destination faster… Well it doesn’t matter…
In the primaries, I always played it with friends (Well, apart from Jutaria, Saidina and Monopoly)… Especially after-exam period… There are usually two style of play… First, if two pieces share a spot, the one piece that is incoming will kick the one which is initially there, back to the starting point… Second style is much more merciful as there is no limit for the number of piece in one spot…
And I don’t know why, we loved to use the first rule…
A seemingly simple board game can actually teach a lot…
Like…
Life is not simply just about destinations… It’s a journey… And I ought to enjoy the journey to the destination… Because if I think too much of just the destination, I won’t have time to enjoy anything… Like in the game… It seems like the objective (as written in the guide) is to reach the end first… However, if I think too much of being the first reaching the destination, everytime I got kicked or eaten by the snake, I’d be so frustrated and disappointed… Instead, if I choose to just enjoy and laugh everytime, regardless because I kick someone or being kicked, it’d be much more fun… Then, for me, the true objective of board games like this is not to win, but to enjoy…
